Off With Those Gladiator Sandals!

Am I the only one who remembers the Ugly Betty episode where Wilhemina screams at an employee to "Take those off! Are we in Ancient Rome?" about her gladiator sandals? The fashion world seems to have turned a deaf ear, and/or maybe it was too late to stop all production on gladiator sandals for spring/summer. Whatever the case may be, I like them, but in moderation.

The Sam Edelman Ginnie is about as much as I can tolerate. It's part gladiator, part flip flop, part pretty sandal. It will accentuate, not annihilate your summer wear. And in all these yummy colors to choose from, no girl in this century would turn her thumbs down to that.
